What Good Trimming Does
Tree trimming for southwest-metro homes: dead and overhanging limbs removed and crowns thinned, April through October, with the right equipment for the height. We trim so a limb going thin never becomes a limb coming down.
Most of what comes out is wood the tree didn't need — deadwood and limbs headed for the roofline. The cut list goes in the written quote, so you know exactly what's coming down before we set up.

Every Tree, Handled
What's included in a trimming.
- Tree-by-tree pricing. We price each tree on its condition and height, not off a menu.
- Dead & overgrown branch removal. The limbs most likely to fail in a storm come off first.
- The right equipment for the height. Low limbs from the ground, high limbs roped and controlled. Nothing free-falls over a roof.
- Cuts that heal. Limbs come off at the collar, so the tree closes the wound instead of rotting around it.
- Cleanup included. Everything we drop is chipped or hauled the same day.
- Based in Shakopee. We work the same southwest-metro neighborhoods season after season.

The trim
Deadwood comes out first, then the limbs crowding the roofline. What's on the cut list comes down; nothing else does.

Common Questions
Frequently asked
Why trim my trees at all?
Dead and overloaded limbs come down on their own eventually, usually in a storm. Trimming takes them down on your schedule instead, and the tree grows better for it.
Which branches do you remove?
Deadwood and anything hanging over the roof or driveway. Past that, we thin where the crown is too dense. The full cut list is in the written quote.
Will you damage my property?
No. Anything tall or over a structure gets roped and lowered in pieces rather than dropped, and we're insured for exactly this work.
Do you clean up when you're done?
Yes. The brush is chipped or hauled the same day, and we rake where we worked.
Do you also remove trees?
Yes. If a tree is past trimming we'll say so at the assessment, and the removal gets its own written quote, cleanup included.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Licensed and insured in Minnesota, with the certificate available before work begins. Details are on our About page.
Your Written Quote
Tell us about the property. We'll put your price in writing.
Tree work is priced on the tree: size, access and how much needs to come off. We look before we quote. A person reads every one of these, not a queue.
